UGA mycologist Marin Brewer is using a recent USDA NIFA grant to continue her research of Aspergillus fumigatus, a fungus that is abundant in soil, compost and other organic debris. This fungus can cause serious lung infections in immunocompromised people. Michelle Momany, a professor in the UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences Department of Plant Biology, is collaborating with Brewer on this study. CAES新闻
